Latino History Project
About 7 years ago our family started taking part in The Latino History Project. Latino youths were hired by the Oakland Museum as on staff historians. They in turn began collected the stories, histories and photos of the Latino families that used to reside in the Downtown/West Oakland neighborhood. Natividad Ramos was interviewed as one of the elders of the Old Oakland neighborhood. Her interviews and photos have become part of a series of posters and a book produced by the project.
